School Resources Officer Program
The HHPD and Huber Heights City Schools formed a partnership which birthed the School Resource Program in Huber Heights. This nationally recognized program is staffed by two Huber Heights Police Officers. Officer Garlow is assigned to Wayne High School and Officer Brown is assigned to the two middle schools.
The School Resource Officer Program is currently staffed by two officers. Officer Garlow is currently assigned to Wayne High School and runs the Crime Watch Program. Officer Brown is assigned to both Weisenborn and Studebaker Middle Schools. He goes between both of these schools on a daily basis to lecture in different classrooms.
Both Officers are available during school hours and for a time shortly at the end of the school day. They also attend most of the sporting events held at the High School and Middle Schools.
