Shooting at 6381 Rolling Glen

On today’s date at 1952hrs. the Huber Heights Police Division responded to 6381 Rolling Glen Drive on a disorderly complaint. When officers arrived they were told by a neighbor that they just heard two gunshots. The responding officers could hear arguing coming from the residence and cautiously made contact. It was at this time officers learned that a fourteen year old female had been wounded during the dispute. Huber Heights Medics arrived and removed the victim.

Two adult males were taken from the residence and a warrant was obtained. Detectives were called in to handle the shooting investigation. Through interviews, detectives were able to determine that the incident stemmed from a domestic dispute between Charles Miller, 38 yrs. of age from Huber Heights, and his fourteen year old daughter. Miller was looking for his daughter who was an entered missing juvenile from Riverside. When he found her at her grandparent’s residence, a domestic dispute ensued. During this dispute, a 9mm handgun was brandished and the teenager was wounded. Miller was subsequently charged with Felonious Assault and is currently in the Montgomery County Jail. The teenager is currently in critical condition at the Miami Valley Hospital. The case is still pending further investigation.
